The Wave Leadership Team

Wave Behavioral Health ensures comprehensive care through seamless collaboration among its diverse programs. A multidisciplinary team approach facilitates integrated treatment planning, allowing for consistent and complementary interventions across different levels of care. Continuity of care is prioritized, minimizing disruptions and supporting individuals in transitions between intensive and less intensive settings.

Yoni Pomerantz
Chief Executive Officer

Yoni brings nearly a decade of combined experience in finance and healthcare, with a strong background in nursing home business operations and departmental coordination. His expertise offers a unique perspective on healthcare administration, driving his commitment to enhancing individuals’ healthcare journeys and satisfaction through Wave Behavioral Health.

As CEO, Yoni’s leadership focuses on fostering collaborative team environments and nurturing a culture of excellence within Wave Behavioral Health. Beyond his professional endeavors, he finds joy in outdoor adventures like skiing and traveling, infusing his leadership approach with innovation and a forward-thinking mindset.

Emma Rowe, LPC
Clinical Director

Emma is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health from Adams State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Mass Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from Colorado State University-Pueblo. Emma has experience providing individual and group counseling services to clients dealing with mental health issues and everyday life stressors. Her specialties are trauma and addiction, and she is committed to providing the highest quality care to individuals and communities.

Kayla Gurnitz 
Director of Business Development and Marketing

Kayla completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and Mental Health Counseling at Metropolitan State University of Denver and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership. She has been dedicated to the behavioral health field since 2016. Her clinical experience spans forensics, inpatient settings, and substance use treatment, allowing her to develop a comprehensive understanding of diverse client needs. Since stepping into Business Development in 2023, she has gained a great passion for fostering connections within the behavioral health space and building lasting partnerships. Her goal is to ensure clients and their families are provided with the most appropriate care to contribute to a healthier Colorado.

Our team members are not only highly skilled in their respective fields but also deeply passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young individuals and their families.

We prioritize hiring specialized pediatric mental health professionals who have extensive experience working with children and adolescents. These professionals understand the complexities of childhood and adolescent development, as well as the specific challenges that young individuals may face when dealing with mental health issues. Whether it’s a child struggling with anxiety, a teenager navigating depression, or a family grappling with behavioral concerns, our team is equipped to provide compassionate and effective support.

PHP

For individuals who need extended daily treatment, but who may not need 24-hour medically managed care. Services include therapy, recovery workshops, and educational seminars. The goal of the PHP is often times to transition to a lower level of care such as the IOP program.

IOP

For clients ready to transition to a less intensive level of care, General Outpatient programs help you reinforce and maintain skills for a substance-free lifestyle with high-quality counseling on a flexible schedule.

FAMILY THERAPY

Our Family Therapy program offers a collaborative and holistic approach to mental health care, focusing on the interconnected dynamics of familial relationships to promote healing and resilience. Tailored to the unique needs of each family unit, our program combines evidence-based interventions and therapeutic modalities to strengthen communication, resolve conflicts, and foster a supportive and cohesive family environment.
